PNCP Recording Session Auditions (updated 09/18/08)

INSTRUMENTATION:
Flute, Oboe, Bb Clarinet, Bassoon, 2 Violins, Viola, 2 Violoncelli, and Piano. NOTE: All instrumentalists MUST at least 18 years old.

PURPOSE:
Due to extenuating circumstances, the live recordings from the June 2008 concerts cannot be used. In an effort to provide sound recordings to the involved composers and to our archive, we are auditioning to find 10 musicians to learn the music in a timely manner and be prepared for a Winter recording session.

COMMITMENT:
Musicians should be prepared to commit to one (1) day of workshopping with the individual composers, four (4) 4-hour rehearsals (48 mins on each of the four pieces + three 15 min breaks), and one (1) day for the recording session. All rehearsals, except one, will be on Saturdays. Please see tentative schedule below.

• Rehearsal 1: Saturday, 25 October 2008, 2:00 - 6:00p
• Rehearsal 2: Saturday, 1 November 2008, 2:00 - 6:00p
• Rehearsal 3: Friday, 7 November 2008, 5:00 - 9:00p
• Rehearsal 4*: Saturday, 15 November 2008, 2:00 - 6:00p



• Recording Session: Saturday, 22 November 2008, 10:00a start
